J-Doc Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 They just had it there 2yrs ago. Back so quickly? That's a bit surprising. Not complaining by any means. I'm happy. I went two years ago and you can BET MONEY I'll go again!! And take a boat this time. :-) Thanks for posting. Gotta plan my "Man-cation" next year. Need marine repair? J-Doc Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Cool. This is really cool. A quick 2hr drive and you're there. No plane trip needed or long drive to go to the classic. If any of you haven't been before, you should go. If you don't like dog and pony shows......well stay home. It's a dog and pony show. And I like pups and ponies. Lol! Need marine repair? Alex Heitman Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 It's cool they are having it there. I went to it 2 years ago and worked the expo for my cousins bait company. It was a great experience. I will probably go again. I wish they would have it in the south or in California where the weather is warmer. It's to hard to predict weather patterns in early March or late Febuary. Oh well. I really think Table Rock will hold a classic in the next few years. As much as the pros talk about the lake and how it has been publicized it wouldn't surpise me one bit.
moguy1973 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 And it's in March instead of February. I think a lot of pros really complained about the horrid weather they had down in South Carolina this year. Might have to make a trip down there just to go to the expo and a weigh in this time. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson

More like a monkey (Zona) and jackass (Mercer) show these days --- especially the final weigh-in. Never seen more poorly manufactured "drama" than this year's final weigh-in. They even bordered on disrespectful in showing scenes from 9/11 during that painfully long slideshow of four decades of BASS. The Classic is the world championship of bass fishing. Unfortunately, over-the-top efforts to make it something more "exciting" (and fill the arena with people who don't know a bass from a bullfrog) have pretty much soured it for a lot of serious fishermen. Note: The above statements are opinion, not hate. I reserve my hate for savages like ISIS or people who abuse animals. Sac River Jim, Diamond City Fisher, eyedabassman and 3 others 6
J-Doc Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Thus my dog and pony show comment above. I must admit....... Mercer's "g-g-g-g- giant bass" is worse than nails on a chalkboard. Quillback Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Wow, I'm also surprised they are back, but I like it. The Expo is definitely worth going to, if you can go Thursday or Friday it is much less crowded. Champ188 1
