I should have mentioned I do the pupils by dipping a round object in the paint and touching it to the lure. I don't use a stencil.

Seems like I figured a little something out. The stencil needs a bit more sanding but I think it looks kinda close. The second pic shows the stencils I made earlier.

what do you guys make your stencils out of?

sorry i dont have much to contribute really,i don't paint very many eyes on lures

i mostly use 3d eyes and just glue em on

I've got a chameleon Arkansas shiner pattern that looks like an old curado on the back.

It's auto air gem ruby, $35 for 4oz

24/7 I'm the stencil master, you need variety

Lately, I've been using stencil sheets from hobby lobby on the air brush isle.

My old iPhone case makes a good blank stencil

For the eyes, I'm using architecture stencils & mapping symbols. There's one with circles of all sizes. I use it for the eyes by using tape to cover all the holes I don't need & leaving 2 sizes open.

The stencil pictured is made from blank plastic stencils you can buy from hobby lobby.
