dtrs5kprs Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Where are all of the big fish pics you claim to be catching with the Ned? Can you tell on this one? Not truly big, but a solid 4#. With her sister, another 4# fish, from the same flat rock.
Chief Grey Bear Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 Yeah 4# is not big for a lake, but not shabby like you say. I don't know anyone that wouldn't be happy with those. I thought from the way you guy's talked you should have about 15 or 20 of them in the boat. Are they skillet bound? I'll bring the taters and Pork N Beans! That was after the big cold front in mid April last year. Check the report. It was cold, and tough. Tax Day 2014. Got better every day thereafter. They were both swimming shortly after being immortalized. Have seen pics of fish up to 8# on it, sent through Ned's Finesse News Network email newsletter. Would be glad to sign you up .
rps Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Hey chief, Remember a guy called Billy Westmoreland? http://bassfishingarchives.com/features/the-crazy-head-lure-company
Chief Grey Bear Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 There's a couple that were caught in the river. Both on cranks and one in the very early spring also. You don't find them much bigger in the river. I'm sure both of the these gals were pretty near the end of their lifespan. Like you I bid them farewell and Godspeed for the rest of their days. And in conclusion I would just like to say that we all know that the Ned rig is a fabulous fishing option. I do not discount that one bit. I use it myself and have for years. I truthfully do not have anything negative to say about it. And I haven't. . But at any rate I'm sure I have not gained any friends over the past week. So I'll lay off on the negative posting of the Ned rig. I really just wanted to make a point that I didn't think we needed to talk about it every week and as wrench said go around in circles with the same discussion. Carry-on fellows and have a great time! dtrs5kprs Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Actually Jer, that may become the running joke. Late to the party on that one. That has been going around on the TR forum for a while. I even feel the same way at times. Gets tedious, but there a lot of folks who want info. A lot of them have been posting reports too, which adds new blood to the forum. New folks bring new info and ideas. Win-Win. Nice fish, especially for running water.
