At some point I had to ask myself why I was driving past Truman and LOZ if all I wanted to do was throw jigs and blades at wood up a river.

Speaking of unsavory practices, why bother watching basketball if all you want to do is root for Duke?

All I can say, is be careful what you let impressionable children watch on TV. Like final four, after final four, in the 80's and 90's.

If you look up the tmt history, it is just shocking.

abkeenan, that was one of the most respectful and nicest post I have ever had. I thank you sir.

If you can believe it that was his first K. Wishing him many more.

Kind of like the kid that shoots the 10 point buck his first day on the stand.

Those just don't happen everyday, for any of us.

That was a 10+ yr. old fish.

Good Luck

Some very nice fish, congrats on getting your clients on to them. There are some guys catching them out there, but in general it has not been easy.

OK, here's the truth on my end. I need Kentucky to win for my bracket at work. It appears I will finish first if that happens. So, go Cats. However, and Calipari the Crook is one of few who can make me say this, it would be go Blue Devils if not for the money.

In that case, "On Wisconsin! On Wisconsin!..."

Hmmm...Bill gets the respectful post from Brett, and I get "Turd Worm Maestro".

Okay I laughed at that. Respect is earned Dave. Until you convert that son of yours to something OTHER than a Jayhawk you will get the Rodney Dangerfield treatment from me.

Bill, You're more than that welcome. Putting someone on fish like that is not only rewarding for the guy on the rod and reel but I would imagine maybe even more so for the guy on the GPS and troller, calling the shots. I had two dandy spots the last 2 years on TR. Both in the 18" class like the one you have pictured. One on a jerk bait and one on a A-Rig. I love a good largemouth don't get me wrong but just a brute smallie or tank spot are more beautiful....to me at least.

Funny you mention the first time hunter. First deer I ever killed was a 10 pointer that scored 142 just north of Kirksville. Uncles, Dad and other family members have been hunting for decades and I have the biggest deer out of them all. Beginners luck is a force to be reckoned with.

Trust me, I'm working on it. He does have a Duke shirt.

Ponder this as you drift off to sleep...Coach K has taken Duke to 14 Elite 8's, and is 12-2 in that round. Both losses were to the eventual champion.

No doubt he has a great basketball mind. Maybe the best. Another thing that is just as impressive is there has never been peeps of scandal within his program for all these years nor can I recall a player who has been in trouble with the law. Running a clean and successful program these days is near impossible. Kudo's to Coach K and good luck in the next 2 games (hopefully).

PS - Have you tried bribery to sway your sons allegiance to another University that doesn't worship a blue chicken as their mascot? Say a box of pre-rap wiggle warts or 3 trips to TR where he drives the Ranger?
