rainbow Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Last year we were coming in to takeout at Bridgeport and Tim Horton was backing his rig to the water. He popped the boat off the trailer and drove off to park. The boat started drifting out and was about 80' off the bank when he got back to the ramp. We thought he had one of those remote control trolling motors. He yelled out and asked if we could pick him up and take him out. We pulled in to the ramp in my Tracker and took him out to his boat which had more $$$ worth of fishing gear and electronics than my boat cost. He was a pretty nice guy though and we wished him luck in the Elite derby that week. Don't remember but I don't think he made the cut. There were also a bout 5 other pro rigs parked there including Chris Lane.
moguy1973 Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 I was looking at biffle's bag yesterday. He had just over 20lbs and one was big bass at 8 1/2lbs. I'd take the rest of his bag any day that averaged 3lbs a fish much less the big pig he caught. I need to go to one of those big bass Tennessee River lakes someday. Hopefully we catch some like that on Kentucky Lake next week. Ham 1 -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Guest Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Matt Lee has culled out 100lbs of bass according to BassTrakker
Quillback Posted April 10, 2015 Author Posted April 10, 2015 Ike had another big day today - 28 Lbs. But not a dominating lead.

Quillback Posted April 11, 2015 Author Posted April 11, 2015 What a lake though! You bet! I wish it was an hour's drive away.
Bill Babler Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Mike McClelland really made a strong come back today after sacking just 12 pounds on Thursday, he came back and hammered them with 23 pounds on Friday. Pushing up into the top 50. Don't think he will make Sunday unless he sacks 30 pounds, but anything is possible down there. I have not watched as this is guiding season, but are they catching them on swimbaits? The Swimbait gang is all in the top 25. Do you think it will take 100 pounds? http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Ham Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 I do think it's gonna take 100 lbs. I think there are all kinds of things working. Wobble head jig is catching fish, swim baits, bed fishing, cranking, Carolina rigging. I how to get some intell post tourny. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. I haven't been able to see much either, but today the live coverage starts and we should be able to see what they are slinging. Good to see McClelland move up, I'm with you on seeing him sack 30 lbs. and move into contention.
moguy1973 Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 I'm watching it live right now and Velvick is catching them on swimbaits, Ike is catching them on cranks, Jocumsen is using jigs I think. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
