ness Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 I have to admit I've never had a pickled egg. They're not something I see too often, except in a big glass jar at the convenience store. I've always wanted to try one, but the thought of people fishing those things out of the jar leaving who-knows-what behind always turned me off. I like about anything pickled, so there's hope. fishinwrench Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Ness, I doubt anything could live in that pickled egg jar, including walrusgumboot. They're safe, grab ya one.

I've always wanted to try one, but don't like the thought of people fishing those things out of the jar leaving who-knows-what behind always turned me off. I like about anything pickled, so there's hope. Go ahead and take a chance and make a dozen. It's not that hard and then you will know for sure. I couldn't stand it and had to try one. They are righteous and will only get better. Smoke is just right, they need a few more days to pickle better. ness and Chief Grey Bear 2

Next time you finish a jar of your favorite pickles, put a half dozen boiled eggs in. Wait about 2 weeks, if you can, and enjoy! ness 1 Chief Grey Bear Living is dangerous to your health Owner Ozark Fishing Expeditions Co-Owner, Chief Executive Product Development Team Jerm Werm Executive Pro Staff Team Agnew Executive Pro Staff Paul Dallas Productions Executive Pro Staff Team Heddon, River Division Chief Primary Consultant Missouri Smallmouth Alliance Executive Vice President Ronnie Moore Outdoors

BilletHead Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Ok foodies the eggs have been smoked and packed away for a couple of weeks. Did a batch of nineteen, had a big pickle jar. Used the recipe provided but also put in some pepper from hell dust. So what is this I speak of? Well I smoked peppers from last season and then dehydrated them. This dried smoked pepper mix was then blended to a dust. It is amazing but very potent. So a tablespoon was added to the pickle mix. Eggs out of the smoker, Dust from hell, The results, Everything is in the fridge resting, BilletHead rps 1 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" Chief Grey Bear Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 I have toyed with the idea of smoking eggs for the last couple of years. I just never tried it. You two jumping on this with such enthusiasm has rekindled that flame! Man those look good!! But my first thought is a smoked egg salad sandwich! And I already make a smoked potato salad, I just don't out eggs in it. But....I may just have to add some of these! rps 1 Chief Grey Bear Living is dangerous to your health Owner Ozark Fishing Expeditions Co-Owner, Chief Executive Product Development Team Jerm Werm Executive Pro Staff Team Agnew Executive Pro Staff Paul Dallas Productions Executive Pro Staff Team Heddon, River Division Chief Primary Consultant Missouri Smallmouth Alliance Executive Vice President Ronnie Moore Outdoors
