Members Fishin4Fun Posted April 23, 2015 Members Posted April 23, 2015 I've only fished Table Rock a handful of times, but hoping to change that soon. Thinking about trying a Carolina rigged lizard when I'm down there next week and was wanting to know what colors are best and is there a particular brand that is better than another? jeb Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Lizards can work well there at times. I'd recommend good old Zoom's, in green pumpkin. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha

rps Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Pack a few fish doctors as well in case they are finicky. Sac River Jim and Champ188 2
Quillback Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I haven't fished Lizards much the last few years. I don't know why as they have always worked well in the spring. I need to get back to throwing them.
abkeenan Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Grandpa always did well on ZOOM texas rigged lizards in the spring. He usually used red, plum and pumpkin (peach colored not green) but also used watermelon with a chartreuse tail.
fishinwrench Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Zoom Black Neon is a killer for me on every lake I fish. For sinkers on C-rigs I use 3/4oz "Bass casting" weights and cut the wire out of them. Sac River Jim 1
Old plug Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I used to use lizards but have about converted to Brushhogs for a Carolina. Indo not wory much about the color. Any thing dark is fine with me.
Members dougdean Posted April 24, 2015 Members Posted April 24, 2015 I always use lizards on stand up jigs. Seem to do well.
