The pollen is a pain, but I'll take dealing with it and catching fish. If I get to come down early next week I'm going to try throwing a zoom horny toad up on the pollen where it's blown into mats and dragging it off.

There ya go!

I haven't tried the HT but a Stanley Bull Ribbit is a killer. It is truly a big-fish bait.

I just fished the spook right through it, ripped it hard when it fouled to try and clear it. I did get bit doing that, but I was wishing for a pack of horny toads to try on top of the sloppy crap.

I went back out after the storm came through and caught 2 more keepers and wome small ones caught the last 2 keepers on a hair jig with a brush hog trailer moving it down channel banks and other rather steep banks. I think ledges are the key for the jig. I think part of the bass have spawn and there are more doing it now in other places other than the truditional places people tend to think of as spawning grounds.

Nice report, wish I had time to come up and fling around a bit for those big gals. Got a kick out of the gin clear deal at 6' of visibility.

We were looking at beds on Wednesday in a calm pocket here that had fish on them at 25'. Probably going to murk up a bit. We have had an even 7" of rain here at the Lodge since Thursday nite.

Good Luck up there.

I'll be back down on Bull Shoals soon, maybe as early as Monday. LOZ is over an an hour closer, and sometimes it's just easier to head there. I want to see some brown fish blow up on a topwater before it gets summertime though...

I do not go anywhere. I am satisfied to stay right in the gravois 24 - 7 except for next week when I GOT to go to Taneycomo with the kids and grandkids. I will not be doing much fishing. What little I will do is vumping some small rabbit strip jigs I made over the bottom. bumping some small rabbit fur jigs over the bottom. But I hope to get in some more bass fishing around here before then. We rented a house for us up at falls creek. Cost $750 for those 4 days.
