Photos taken from my driveway this evening. I'm about 10 5.4 miles south of the racetrack, and it's race weekend. These two A-10 Warthogs have been circling over every few minutes for the last half hour or so.

Didn't know there was one. Not surprised. Big enough around KC area.

A10's are a bad boy. Tank busters.

Neat,

I am always getting buzzed (by the jets) during the week on the river. I think they are running practice missions to the nearest bridge.

Boogity , Boogity , boogity were racing in Kansas. Ness would you go out and take pictures of the Goodyear Blimp? I know it is there because I've been seeing pictures it has been taking :)

I was just reading an article about the warthogs this morning, they have been around for 25 years. Parts and service contract just got extended on them til 2028. They were about to retire them, but some congressmen saved them.

I've always heard the pilots love them, they're easy to maintain, reliable, and scare the heck out of the enemy when they let loose with the cannon.

Yep. I talked to a retired Air Force pilot once who flew them. He loved them.

You're right, that cannon could rip a car in half in about 3 seconds. Not to mention the tank buster bombs, missiles, etc it can carry. It's a small pack mule. Takes a load and has a heck of a kick.

That's bad to the bone. :-)
