Hunter53 Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 With the storms how much trash is floating in the lake? Are the river arms real bad? Supposed to come back down for a few days next week.
rps Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Leatherwood is full of trash, which really shouldn't be. You would have thought the earlier near flood would have washed it all away. Do not let that deter your trip.
Ketchup Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Fished out of Cape Fair yesterday and very minimal floating anywhere. Went up to point 12 with clean water. TinBoats BassClub. Â An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.Â
Pepe Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Kings River has trash & barely submerged large timber. I hit a big one today doing 35. Fingers crossed on damage.

GNSfishing Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 You had better keep a sharp look out on the James river arm anytime the lake rises because things that are on the bank wind up floating towards the channel due to the current. I saw a few larger floating trees and sticks Saturday below cape Fair, Piney has a few also with color in the water towards the back end. Hunter53 1
Hunter53 Posted May 11, 2015 Author Posted May 11, 2015 Thanks guys. We will probably stay mostly from Indian Point area to the 86 bridge in Long Creek instead of going up either river arm then. Do you all think we will be ok by Thursday as far as trash in the water goes? Pepe; really hope your boat is ok!! Codywskeeter1521 1

Takes less than you might think to get some big stuff moving around, especially if there is wind or wakes to get things loosened up. Pepe...if you popped it with your motor, it sure would not hurt to drain and change your lower lube, look for anything odd (as in metal pieces).

Those floaters won't hurt you if your are tm down and dragging a Ned. Daryk Campbell Sr, fishingaddiction, Hunter53 and 2 others 5
