Members alltelracer Posted May 21, 2015 Members Posted May 21, 2015 Picked up boat from Performance Marine after being serviced this afternoon. Put in at D.C. for a quick hr and a half to see if it would still catch fish. Yep still works. That water sure is high. Diamond City Fisher 1

aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 i see 5 pounders every time i go down, They might be hard to catch but they are everywhere. Ham 1
Ham Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 i see 5 pounders every time i go down, They might be hard to catch but they are everywhere. I've caught 100's of bass out of Bull. None of them have weighed 5 lbs. I have caught a 10 lb LMB and another over 6 lbs since moving up here, but both of those were Toledo Bend fish. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 you need to slap a mask on and go for a dive. It really will make you sick. I always laugh when i here people talk about large bass population are low. Aggressor1988long 1
Fish24/7 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 i see 5 pounders every time i go down, They might be hard to catch but they are everywhere. 5lbs isn't big in my book, i've caught 20+ 5lb bass already this year, out of Bull. most of them were caught during the day too
Fish24/7 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 you need to slap a mask on and go for a dive. It really will make you sick. I always laugh when i here people talk about large bass population are low. are you seeing very many bass over 8lbs when you dive they usually hide during the day, and feed at night. Every bass over 8lbs I've caught from Bull were caught at night. 8lb10oz is my personal best most bass in Bull just don;t live long enough to get that big a decade of tournament results, and working on a boat dock for the last 16years I can count the number of 10lb bass I;ve seen/heard of on 2 fingers. They are out here, but i think the big bass genes are slowly being bred out of the largemouth population. I can't prove it , but it could be a factor. The smallmouth fishing gets better every year. HUge numbers, w/ a great average size of 14" or so. it's been a long time since we've had the numbers of 4-5lb largemouth bass we have right now, let's pray they survive long enough to have a shot at making it to 8+ w/o getting their heads cut off ;( have seen several 5lbers lose their heads this year, i almost shed a tear i believe big bass are 10x smarter than their younger siblings., if you look at the big bass tournament results from past years on our area lakes it sort of proves my theory, and,you are right aarchdale, they aint easy to catch, lol mjk86 1
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Everything does look bigger under water for sure but, My brother and i dive a lot when its warm and we see tons of bass. i remember one instance that we came up and i said "did you see those two smallmouth" and i was thinking 7 lbs. He said if they weren't 7 they were 8. He has been diving bull for 15 years. I dont see many that i would say could go 8. But 4-6 we see tons of. Bass are really curious of divers they will come right out to see what you are, almost within arms length. Lots of times ill look behind me and you will have a entourage of Largemouth. I havent done much night diving. Lots of times we will get a rock and ding our tanks, that usually gets some bass to come and see what is making the noise, definitely understand why they put rattles in baits now
