got out for a bit of bassin', and had a pretty good outing. did really well on a big worm before dark. had it rigged on a 3/16 head with a 1/8 slip sinker. after dark it was a mixture of 1/2 jig, a beaver and a senko both rigged on a 1/4 head.

had several in the 3lb. range, and linda had pics on her phone, but she dropped in in the lake, and i had warned her on several occasions about using it for a light. she does pay attention to my fishing instructions, but did not listen about the phone, and sure enough it went ploop. i asked her if the ringer was on, we could call it, lol.

bites were from dead on the bank to 15ft. i think the steady water level had something to do with the better bite.

Losing my phone in the lake is a real concern of mine. So after some searching, I found lifeproof makes a a phone life jacket; to be used in conjunction with their waterproof case. It's a really nice setup. Too bulky to use the life jacket everyday; but it's a snug enough fit to stay on securely, but the material it's made of allows it to slip on and off easily. You can get a neck lanyard and wrist strap for them too.......I had no clue these even existed until a few months ago; they need to market them better. Here's a link; they're available for tons of phones(I just leave it in the boat glovebox):

Nice report and results. Hope you had insurance on the phone.

Headed to mainlake area this week around the new moon to night fish a few times.

What area did you hit?

somewhere on the lake hammertime, lol. we were not fighting boats and would like to keep it that way, hahaha.

i will say there were tons of the bowfisherman swarming around, but no fishing boats. people might need to talk to some of those boys sometimes, and learn something.

Cool, glad to hear you got on a good bite.

I wonder how many phones are sitting on the bottom in Table Rock?

Know there is at least one across from Schooner Creek's boat dock. Watched a lady swim it a couple of years ago. She gave it the classic stare and "I dropped my phone...".

Ah bo, come on. I gave away my best hole the other day. "A big pocket between Eagle Rock and Shell Knob." LOL

The more I hear about folks sawing the sides off our bass, including quite a few forum members, the less I'm inclined to help them catch em.
