Just use the blue label Everstart Maxx 29 series batteries from Wally World. that's all I have used and I always get several years out of them before they start getting weak on me. I fish quite a bit so they get sued pretty often. I think they have 27 series as well, but they aren't the Maxx series and I haven't used them before so i can't confirm if they last as long or not. Make sure you stick them on the charger as soon as you get back home.

Buy an AGM style, you won't regret it. They hold up so much better than an lead battery. Buy a good digital charger to maintain/charge them too.

I use the Everstart Maxx 29 also have had good luck with them. They get used a lot and usually get 3-4 years out of them.

On my second set of AGM's now. Replaced the first 3 this spring after running them since 2009. Honestly only changed them out of paranoia about old batteries. Amazing batteries. Those were from BPS, current ones are from Cabela's, both are very good.

The difference is just dramatic. Much faster charging, holds a charge longer, more power to the TM (or seems it).

Mennards sells EXCIDE they are real good deep cycle batteries. If you wait till they have one of those many 11% off everything sales you can get them for in the low 70s each. Ithink they have AGM also

Personally I'd say pro guide group 31's. They're pretty reasonable on price. Around $100-110 I think?

I bought a factory second Ellis Battery AGM 5 years ago and it has performed well. In the second boat now and I have never had it run low. I have fished it a whole weekend trolling and drifting without it going dead on the 43 lb trolling motor. I always charge it back full when I get home, I don't let it sit low. I will bring it back to full about 2 times during the winter. I have a shutoff switch on it to prevent any accidental discharges by a switch left on.

I would buy another in a heartbeat, most lead acids only last a few years before going weak.
