m&m Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Went out today around noon. Fished the points in Beardsley. WT was only 79.2. Water was up in the trees and bushes. It was windy so pretty hard to fish the Ned but managed a couple short SM on a pbj 1/8 head. Around 2:30 wind slowed to a nice breeze and saw plenty of fish suspended in 5-10' range and deep at 20+ range. Caught 3 keeper LM on a 10" bulk/purple worm and 1 keeper LM on a purple/white double willow leaf spinnerbait. Sun came out and we headed to the ramp to avoid the pontoons pulling tubers. After spending the last few days inside it was a good few hours. Didn't catch a lot but the quality was good today. Heading to the flats outside cricket creek in the morning unless the forest is floating by. Mike magicwormman and fishingaddiction 2
Champ188 Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Can't believe you managed to do that well in Beardsley. Terrible place to fish. Just awful, horrible, no good. abkeenan and dtrs5kprs 2
m&m Posted June 20, 2015 Author Posted June 20, 2015 That's exactly what Abkeenan said. He made me promise to c&r or I wasn't allowed back in. Lol Mike dtrs5kprs and Champ188 2

SplitG2 Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Whoops. Sorry about the quote with no reply. Just wanted to add that if you cross AB he may try to smoke you out of his cove. Though we've never met, I suspect it was him burning off leaves on us last month. Almost ran us out but we stayed...long enough to c&r some of his favorite friends.

Blankets of leaf smoke usually get the C&R guys out of my creek. When I see people throwing them in the livewell or cooler I use the leafs laced with poison ivy. I've never seen a boat ever come back when I drop that bio bomb on them. Still perfecting my latest deterrent which I can remote activate from my cell phone. My Archimedes death ray needs sunlight to work and there hasn't been much of that lately with all this rain so it's made employing it tough. magicwormman, Champ188 and dtrs5kprs 3
