Skeeter ZX190 Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Thinking about getting another spinning rod for the ned rig. Anybody have some recommendations for a rod in the $80 to $120 range?
Blll Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Browning Superlight. 6'8" ML Bass Pro. $99.99 Outstanding!
Sore Thumbs Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 If you can go a little more try new line of G.Loomis, Falcon or I have heard really good things about Lew's new line.
dtrs5kprs Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 If you can only have one for it, go with the St Croix Eyecon 6'6" ML. Right about $120, and as close to perfect for it as any other. Cabela's in KCK usually has them on hand. magicwormman, Ham and huntest 3

Sore Thumbs Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 St.Croix makes a heck of a rod. Forgot to mention them. Can't go wrong if you stick with Falcon,Loomis or St.Croix.
Ham Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 If you can only have one for it, go with the St Croix Eyecon 6'6" ML. Right about $120, and as close to perfect for it as any other. Cabela's in KCK usually has them on hand. I ordered one based on Dave's recommendation and I LOVE IT. At this point, I have about 5 rods that fish a Ned pretty well, but the Eyecon is what I generally reach for first. Champ188 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. huntest Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I took Dave's advice and bought the rod and I am very pleased with it. It works the bait very well and has enough backbone to handle a big fish. This rod and 6lb Invisix line seem to be made for each other.... magicwormman and Champ188 2
