Your really selling yourself short if your not using a rod thats 300$ or more. You just wont get the bites. Just kidding lol check out fenwick silverhawk7ft med light fast or even 6'6" light fast. Can find em for 60$ but usually 100. Pflueger president/supreme and 4# mono. Good setup for light stuff. I throw 1/64-1/8 oz jigs on em.

Sounds like a really nice rig. Congrats and have fun with it.

Any reel recommendations to go along with those rods and line? I am always eager to learn from more experienced fishermen.

All of mine are 3000 size Daiwas of one model or the other. Great big spools to cut down on twist, and allow fluorocarbon to fly off freely on the cast.

Here's a pic of Dtrs fishing one of those 3000 Daiwas.

I don't know how Dave can tell this kids on his basketball and football teams they need to hit the weight room when he looks like that. Probably the reason why he has that bowie fillet knife on his hip....intimidation and deters any backtalk. We know he isn't cleaning any fish so that has to be the reason right?

I haven't looked as good as Putin in 20 years.

All you need to intimidate little children is a chute, some boards, and a little sweat flying off your beard every time you tell them to stay low coming out of a 3pt stance.
