Quillback Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 One ounce, going to cast like a rocket. Just wonder how well it will wake. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Megabass_I_Jack/descpage-MBIJK.html
Champ188 Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 HLS in Rogers and Bella Vista had nine between them. I bought them all. huntest and Flysmallie 2
abkeenan Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Quill. I'm just going to give you my wife's phone # so you can explain to her why I keep adding to my already bulging tackle box/bag. Kidding aside that seems to have good rolling action on it. The deal with wake baits though is that some wake under slow speeds great but once you amp it up a bit they dive or run funny. Hard to get a grasp on what they will do until you try them yourself......but at that point you've already bought it!
Quillback Posted August 5, 2015 Author Posted August 5, 2015 Well I am hoping that either you or Champ pick one up a let us know how it works. huntest 1
5bites Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 I like it. It's gonna need a big feathered treble. I like the idea of being able to orbit this thing. Champ188 1

I probably need to pass on this considering I have quite a few wake baits. I also have a lucky Craft bulldog waker that weighs like 2oz. and is frickin huge which is why I throw on my 7'10 BPS Cranking Stick and can fling that thing a mile. It's actually a fun bait to throw just obnoxiously big. Fish24/7 1
skeeter Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Megabass bait looked good until discovery of the rattle in it. This year with the dingy water that might be OK but I avoid rattles in the normally clear water. Just sayin'.
Champ188 Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I agree on not caring much for rattles in subsurface baits when fishing clear water but nearly all topwaters have some sort of rattles or knocker. The Redfin is full of them. abkeenan 1
5bites Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Here's a quote from tackletour.com icast coverage: "I-Jack : The I-Jack is one of those innocuous looking baits (if anything from Megabass can ever be considered innocuous) that might easily be overlooked on the store pegboard because it doesn't really look like much. It's a shad profile bait with a bill on it - ok. But the secret with this bait lies internally with Megabass's patent pending "Rudder Action Balance System (RAB)". There's a rubber ball on the inside of the bait attached to a swivel arm that moves from side to side changing the bait's balance as you retrieve making it roll and wobble along the surface, and also causes it to emit a unique thumping sound. The I-Jack measures just over four inches (4") in length and weighs one ounce (1 oz). Retail price is set for $19.99." Champ188 1
