rps Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 My mother taught me if I could not say something nice, I should say nothing. I went out early. Lots of other people did as well. I came in. Champ188, 5bites, 8pounder and 8 others 11

Members Chunk Rock Posted September 6, 2015 Members Posted September 6, 2015 Hopefully after this weekend the rock will calm down. I hope
kjackson Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Nice report...love the humor. Is it still foggy in the morning?
rps Posted September 6, 2015 Author Posted September 6, 2015 Yes. As far down as Stubblefield branch. The water temp was 80 to 83 and the air temp was 74.
crazy4fishin Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Funny - my Mom told me the same thing...I did not fish the lake at all and just stayed on Taney...there were times that you could walk to the shore one deck at a time if you get what I mean. I know it was busy up top as I went to the State Park - WOW is all I could say. I felt sorry for anyone trying to load and unload at the ramp....talk about waves!! Others must have thought it was busy - I don't remember seeing as many big boats as I have the last couple of days on Taney! BTW thanks to the big ProCraft that ran up and down throwing 2' rollers I know the kayakers liked it...... C4F Crazy4fishinA Cornhusker
Mitch f Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 When I was 14 I fished Table Rock for the first time, I grew very fond of the lake over the years, mainly because of the smallmouth. I just can't get over 40 years later and no state record smallmouth. With all of the thousands of tourneys over the last 40 years, you would think someone would catch one over 7 pounds. I would rather fish a river for smallmouth. I just can't get jazzed about that lake anymore. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
