Members dennisduckhunter Posted September 24, 2015 Members Posted September 24, 2015 I fished your red Eye shad last night and caught crappie white bass and six shorts was wondering do you burn it or reel slow? I had better luck reeling slow versus fast. Just wondering.
Old plug Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Well wrench you tell Amber I think the problem was she should have dressed more conservatively. After all the larger fish are mostly female and jealous and the males are all to small.
Old plug Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Weekend warrior those o nice looking brush piles.
WeekendWarrior Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Weekend warrior those o nice looking brush piles. Hope the fish think so ?, made 10 piles and put in different locations so we will see how they do. I can tell you it was lots of work

And some nice numbers of fish to boot what he ^^^^ said.... My daughter is up in Chicago nowadays but she loves to fish and I love taking her. We have not had a chance to get out at all this year due to her work schedule ? Mike
Jerry Rapp Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Pfft. It's easier on the arms than that 'youknowhat' that YOU got me started on last Spring. Throwing that thing all day will make you hurt clear to your knees ! Throwing the Redeye just loosins your wrist up good. And from the sound of it Buckcreekmike will benefit from that. it is time to start throwing "that thing" again. As you well know, wind will be your friend.
buckcreekmike Posted September 25, 2015 Author Posted September 25, 2015 Wrench, I hate to sound too desperate, but are you working that red eye super shallow at the very back of the back ends? I know those back ends really flatten out. Or is it just shallow water at any location? By the way, and I'm not just buttering you up, but how would I get a hold of you for wrenching on our boat?
Old plug Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 MOsmalloes.... yes she is and she posses two other qualities. She is very smart and very intelligent. MOsmallies 1

I had better luck reeling slow versus fast. Just wondering. If it is real shallow I keep the rod up high and fish it just fast enough to keep it crashing into stuff along the bottom. The one I throw is Chrome and I will wear the chrome off one pretty quick. Otherwise just kinda mix up the retrieve. I never just reel it in steady. The Redeye has a certain vibration when it is doing its maximum thing, so I just play it along at about that speed, throwing in lots of pauses.
