Smalliebigs Posted October 24, 2015 Author Posted October 24, 2015 I agree, that's why I asked Biologists are full of crap about hybrid Stripers IMO. And Stripers too. If they quit stocking Stripers in LO back in the '80s then where did this punk come from? wow!!!! Cool as hell ...a little baby Striper ...hahaha well that makes sense :)....by the way we are gonna be down near you the weekend of 11/12..at MOSMALLIE'S place having a BBQ Buzzed Bait fest wanted to party with you.....how old do you think that Striper was???
fishinwrench Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Holler at me when the ribs go on the smoker! I'll be there.
drew03cmc Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Guys, that is stupendous. Those wipers are spectacular fish, but when they reach that size, they are scary strong. Well done! Andy
Mitch f Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 darn those are some real sweet fish. I spent some time from 4-6:45 this afternoon fishing the meramec at Unger again and struck out. Then I see you guys with those monsters. It's a humbling feeling. Haha Harris, I've watched you post for several years. I'm trying to figure out why you never catch fish? I think your pulling our leg! If your not, you need to try something different. Are you just standing on the bank and throwing a lure out in the current in some non descript spot? Are you sitting in a lawn chair fishing with Rod holders? What lures are you using? "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
mjk86 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Was that down by emmenegar park? I was down there yesterday and walked the bank for a few hours. I seem to have the best luck walking down under 44 along the Rick ledge. Was there from 7-9. Caught 3 drum..2 on a bandit and 1 on a jigging spoon. Lost several spoons and jigs and that crank...river fishing from the bank is highly frustrating. I'm always happy to just not get skunked I head to the river as I suck at river fishing lol.
Smalliebigs Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 Nice mjk86.....it's true the whole area is a lure graveyard, it's kinda brutal and very costly depending on how expensive of lures you use. These pics were from up stream from 44 by about 4 miles, actually by the 141 bridge more or less and the day before was way up stream by Rte 66 park....but as you said fishing from the bank down there is costly as you get hung up non stop.....the rocks are very jagged
