CHIEF  I have not seen a agent making license or creel checks here on the lake in at least 8 to 10 yrs. Nobody I know has either. Another thing I do not  understand is how they turn their backs when game fish are advertised and sold to raise funds for churches. l have known that fish caught in crappie tournaments were not been returned to the water. They were. Cleaned. Fried and sold to raise money for a organization.  Yet I went to a meeting about gardening and some agent stood up there and made a strong point about not shooting armadillos because they were protected. I just do not ask them anything anymore. I believe in conservation but I will protect my property hook or crook.I certainly do not believe in the way they administer the law around here. My wife called Camdenton office one time about a deer problem. And the agent hollered at her over the phone "Put up a darn fence"

Yeah Wrench Piercy has a reputation dating back to when he was a cop in Laurie of arrogance. After. He became a trooper would  put his car on the side and hang his butt out in the Laurie Chiefs office. As far as I a concerned what he done was clearly man slaughter. His attitude that was recorded at the scene was terrible.

There are some who no matter what will point out that MDC sucks, others who will go an extra step maybe than deserved to support them (myself included), working for the government I have a better appreciation of what it takes to get say a work order acted upon, or if you write a ticket you get put down in the same resturant, sometime the same table for harassing good folks and for not writing tickets to all them other SOBs.  As for church fish fries using wild caught fish, they can be done if a fee is not charged as in donation only as I understand it.  But do you really want MDC enforcement personnel going to every church fish fry and writing tickets.  I talk to people around Pomme and hear about never seeing an agent or being checked, yet I have been checked while fishing there a couple times, maybe I just look guilty.  Take the number of people around and on Pomme and compare it to LOZ, what percentage of people can be checked, keeping in mind that if they don't send an agent ot to to the Niangua then they are gonna hear about that.

I have been checked at Pomme a few times and never at LOZ, in fact I was checked at Pomme this year. Maybe I just look like a fish slayer ?

I have never been checked on LOZ either, or Truman, or Stockton, or any number of creeks and rivers.  Of course I avoid weekends, and really busy locations.  Have also talked to an agent and mentioned that I fished a certain area and didn't catch much, whereupon he agreed that neither I nor the other around me were catching much from what he could tell through his binoculars.
