LD Fisher Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Decided to head over to the Rock during the beautiful spring weather, although hearing Christmas carols on the radio reminded me it was December. Anyway, fished Thursday and Friday and frankly could have slept in till noon based on the number of fish we caught both mornings. But after lunch, starting around 3:00 ...........and after throwing everything but the proverbial kitchen sink we tied on the Ned and the fun began. Caught 18 Thursday and 26 Friday thanks to the Ned. Both afternoons around 3 to 5:30 the fish wanted to eat. Caught both LM and SM up to the 3 pd SM I caught Thursday afternoon. Water temp 50 to 54 and the fish were in 20 to 30 fow. A few pisc's merc1997 Bo, magicwormman, dtrs5kprs and 2 others 5

Bill Babler Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Nice fish. We're you guys sitting the boat in 40' to 50'to be catching them in 30' or were you sitting in 30' and throwing in? Those fish are really brite and beautiful to be coming at 30'. Just wondered. Tks. BB http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
LD Fisher Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 We sat in 30 and threw into 10 to 20 feet. Some were caught by throwing in front of the boat and having a cup of coffee while Ned swam to the bottom ? And those were dull in color. Most were caught by throwing 5-10 from the bluff and bumping down the drop off into the 15-25 ft range.
dtrs5kprs Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Kind of figured they were swing fish, unless you went to a lot of trouble to move the boat for photos. I really think that bite is a going deal on the swings most of the year, at least with the Ned. Even better as it cools down. Back in the way back, those were fish you could throw hair jigs and twin spins at all winter.
Bill Babler Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Yep, that is what they looked like. Very nice day, you all did yourselves proud. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
