Didn't get out on the boat, but fished around all the docks down at Indian Point while we had some things on the grill and football on the friends houseboat.

Once the wind really started picking up about 2:30 or 3:00, I caught fish. 13 total I think if you include the dinks/shorts. All came on the Ned and all came in the back of the cove there at IP, 20-30ft.

One dinker smallmouth who's eyes were bigger than his stomach, the rest Kentuckies. Many times, especially the bigger ones, they'd hit it on the fall.

Healthy K's.

PB&J Ned did well, but the watermelon red Ned 'hula stick' did great, which I didn't even know existed until I went to Bass Pro yesterday before heading to the dock.

Not trying to criticize Ben. But, I was always told never to lay a fish on any dry surface? Dock, Carpet. etc.

I always dip my ruler before I measure a fish.

Maybe it's an old wives tale? But, does that hurt them by doing this and allowing their 'slime' to get rubbed off?

Good job Benthanks for the report. Champ how was the fishing on grand?

Pretty good, Enforcer. We had 15 total in 7 hours, including 8 keepers with a couple of 4-pounders and some solid 2.5 and 3-pound fish. Spinnerbait, squarebill and jig. Oh, and one on a buzz bait. A fun day even though it literally rained sideways all day.

We were on the lower end ... Disney up to Duck Creek. Water was a bit more stained than I expected and is likely to get even more stained with all the rain Sunday. Creeks and ditches were really running when we started home. Surface temps 54-58.

By the way, we returned last Tuesday to the same spot, same watermelon red hula sticks, but clear skies and warmer.... We still caught fish.

Biggest two are pictured. Nice LM and a nice fat SM by my buddy Ryan.

Haha... maybe removing my zip tie is a right of passage...but it never seems to be in my way and it just makes things nice and tight....I'll think it over...

ALSO, Cousin Eddy may be a lot of things, but he is definitely NOT cold!

Also, you can take the zip ties off the rod/reel seat now. Might be a little more comfortable on the fingers.
