conorsixtakc Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Seems like a scary situation developing. Hearing about a lot of docks with lights on that are underwater... can only imagine the amount of insurance claims that will be coming in. Hope everybody that has lake front property doesnt experience significant damages, and that these waters start subsiding.
fishinwrench Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 As hard as I try I just can't feel sorry for lakefront property owners. I gave my lakefront property up and moved to 2nd tier after realizing the cost and possibilities of maintaining a dock, ect. Surely the ones that are richer/smarter than me have calculated this into their plan. Just another leaf to rake, right?
laker67 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Some where there is a 665 set back ruling, but in the case of my neighbor, the contractor must have ignored that ruling. His lower level floor looks to be right at or under at 663.46. And now it the level is 663.62. Debris from the last flood is being re-deposited into the lake. What happens when it all lodges against the front side of the dam?

I'm sure you're trying pretty hard Wrench lol My grandparents are pushing 90 and chose to live waterfront a long time ago. Everybody's situation is different, and I know they're not looking for empathy. So anyway... hope everybody with lakefront property doesn't experience significant damages. I'd hate for all the docks to wash away and these fishermen not have anywhere to skip a jig.
fishinwrench Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Hey Rick, if this makes it under the bridge it's headed your way. marcus 1
