joeD Posted January 12, 2016 Author Posted January 12, 2016 My daughter goes there. They pay her tuition. With two others in college Daddy loves the Tide. And I am a Billikens, just keeping my head low. Not too much to cheer about. Deadstream 1
snagged in outlet 3 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Nice! I'd love the Tide too. My daughter is looking at Alabama. But she also wants to go to my wife's alma mater, Wash U Pete
joeD Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 Wash U is a school, kind of. Bama is a resort. Seriously, if you want her to go to WU, don't visit UA.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I learned a long time ago. My daughter is smarter than me. I'm just here to change oil, carry luggage and pay for stuff until she is out on her own. Essentially a loving slave. I'm doing pretty good so far. Thanks for the advice though, I appreciate it. My wife is just like that and I don't think she will ever be on her own. But we did have 3 daughters and I'm doing my part to return the favor to 3 young men at some point that did absolutely nothing to deserve this. Mitch f and fishinwrench 2
joeD Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 I was a full time dad for 15 years. I hope they don't have pyschological problems later in life, and wind up hating me. No Serenity Rest Home for me. Lousy ungrateful kids. DOH!?
Mitch f Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I thought it was strange, at the time my father was about ready to pass away in the hospital, the nurses kept telling us what a great family we had, and she didn't see that very often. ? I was taken back and asked her what she meant. She said often people die in the hospital and they have to call the family to tell them because they haven't visited for days. Just blew my mind. I guess there really are ungrateful kids out there. But I'm sure Joe doesn't really have that problem! "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
