I doubt you would zero with the Ned in 8hrs of fishing. These guys are professionals, not weekend anglers. I didn't see round 2, hopefully they run it again. But round 3 was boring. I don't understand why they forced them to fish the upper end of Dale Hollow. Why not let them find the primo smallie spot on that lake? Round 2 was about the same. Very slow bite, and little action from any of them. Still cant take my eyes off of the show tho. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
Guest Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Round 4 was better, but I still dont understand why they were restricted to 1 area of the lake. Smallmouth like to hang out near the dam anyay.

Maybe one of the later rounds will have them fishing the dam area. dtrs5kprs 1

It's fun, but still pretty sketchy on details.

This is very likely true, plus it would be difficult to have their "quarters" with breaks in between if guys had full run of a lake the size of Dale Hollow (or Table Rock, Guntersville, etc.). They seem to want interaction on the water among the anglers, too. To the original point, I fished Central Pro-Am events against James for quite a few years and I can personally attest that he's a fine fellow. However, I can see how he could be misinterpreted. He's a former drill instructor, so he's inherently loud and in your face. After you've been around him a bit, you realize that it's just part of his charm, so to speak. As Archdale pointed out, he has a good heart. Quillback 1
J-Doc Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Very good point about the interaction and quarter breaks Champ. I think that's the exact reasoning. Besides, how could Iconnelli spy on others if he can't find them in reasonable time? (jokes) Ketchup and Champ188 2 Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. dtrs5kprs Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Makes sense just from a production and scheduling standpoint. Having finally watched it yesterday, I'd say they shot Rds 1 & 3, and Rds 2 & 4 on the same days, based on the weather. Quillback 1
drew03cmc Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 After watching today's new episode, I wonder how any company can market a petulant, whiny loudmouth. He was throwing rods, stomping around, dropping F Bombs and couldn't land fish. Is snagging legal in MLF? Andy

I replace alot of punted depthfinders and trolling motor mounts and pedals that have been stomped into tiny pieces. You don't get to the true Pro status without having a few meltdowns. As for foul hooking.....A caught fish is a caught fish.
WeekendWarrior Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Watching survival round 1 on dvr now, wow! Buddy of mine fished with one of the top sticks when he won a tourney doing the very same deal on TR a few years back.
