Watching it now on DVR. I'm sure it's a brand, but it looks pretty generic. Might look at his sponsor list, see who sells a spoon.

They'll eat the 1/2oz white spoon on those docks too.

Looks like a fun lake. You don't hear much about it.

Is that a warm water tactic or can at be applied in winter too?

I've only done it spring through fall. Can start when they are staging around the deep docks in April. Gets really good in June, about 80 deg water. Latest I've done it is Thanksgiving.

Takes some depth under the docks, at least 30'. Have to be willing to put it way up and under stuff just like a jig.

Man I love catching them like that. Was wondering why no one done it on dale hallow. Although I've never used a spoon that big it gets quick results when nothing else will for me. I'll have to try some larger spoons too.

Had the same question about Dale Hollow. Guys were complaining about having trouble finesse fish around the docks, and none of them put a spoon in there. Chapman for sure knew about it. Heck, he was right beside Watson, and even mentioned Table Rock in the latest round.

It is a little weird, flipping a spoon instead of a jig. Am pretty good friends with one of the better dock spoon guys on TR, took him two years of telling me about it before I tried it.

James Watson is putting on a clinic with his big spoon on docks. Anyone know what brand and size he is using? He is a character for sure.

Someone asked on Facebook and he said it was a Bass Pro Nitro Flash spoon
