Sore Thumbs Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Put in at Eagle Rock around 7:30. No action around there so I made a move to Roaring River. Caught 3 real quick on a channel swing with a shallow ledge. Used a Bandit 300. Got tough with no more bites on the crankbait. It was 11:30. No wind and sun was high. So I make a decision to try the Ned under a dock and it was on. I was in the back of Owl Creek. After I caught 2 off the dock I moved to the point in the back( see pic ) I caught around 10-12 bass off that point. After I figured out they wanted sun. I moved to south facing points the rest of the day. Caught approximately 30 bass. 2 ky and the rest were blacks. Best 5 probably 10lbs. I had a blast today. 176champion, cheesemaster, Champ188 and 9 others 12
Members JacobW Posted February 7, 2016 Members Posted February 7, 2016 Sounds like a very fun day. I'm going to put in at big m and give them a try tomorrow. Thanks for the awesome pics and report.
176champion Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Very nice Sore...looks like a great day was had. I hope to have my boat back together this week and get out there. I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
Sore Thumbs Posted February 7, 2016 Author Posted February 7, 2016 I saw a lot of folks throwing the A-rig today. Anyone here have any success on it today?
Champ188 Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Got a box full of 'em sitting in my garage. Not a one in the boat.
Sore Thumbs Posted February 7, 2016 Author Posted February 7, 2016 Not my cup of tea either Champ. I did throw one a little bit.
m&m Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Sore, I'm like 176 Champ with getting boat repaired. So I did the next best thing. I drove to a bunch of ramps to see the activity. I saw a number of empty trailers so I thought I would just wait for the reports. And you did not disappoint me. Thanks for the report. By the way I went over to lilley's landing and picked up a couple of O.A.F. Decals for my boat and truck. I'm always hesitant to motor up to another fisherman but if I see the O.A.F. Decal on the boat I know they will be approachable. Thanks to all who are contributing to this forum. I hope to be back in the water in a couple of weeks. Mike big c and dtrs5kprs 2
Sore Thumbs Posted February 7, 2016 Author Posted February 7, 2016 Yeah. I need to put my decal on my boat too. It was just nice to be catching fish again. I didn't care what size they were.
Bill Babler Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Got a feeling that your best 5 did a little bit better than 10 pounds. You had some skinny bucks, but there are a couple of really nice fish in that set of photo's. Thanks a bunch for sharing. Great information. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
