Speaking of catchers, looks like KC renegotiated Perez's deal and got him locked up to 2021. And that makes me happy.

Getting to Chicago for a weekend series is something I have to do.

They say Yadi won't be 100% on opening day but they have accomplished an upgrade on second-string catcher with Pena.

The offense stats for Yadi are not that great overall, but he did have several years he was very good.  I think his wrist is going to be an issue for him going forward...he looked really anemic at times last year. It is hard to say how that might affect his hall fame chances, but no doubt he is one of the best defensive catchers of all time.

He is a tortoise on the base paths though...which drives me nuts when they bat him 5th our 6th.
