Quillback Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Fished today with fellow board member Muddy Water (Robert). We put in a solid 6 hours, starting at 0900 after it warmed up a bit. Tough day, we caught 9 bass, Robert had the biggest with a fat spot that was just short of 3 lbs. Almost all came on the shaky head, I believe Robert did get one on a Ned. Fish were deep, 10-30 feet down. One here and one there, never really found a good consistent spot. One spot that had been very productive for me last week, didn't give us one bite today. Water temps 47-48, water still a stained green color. 176champion, dan hufferd, dtrs5kprs and 5 others 8

Muddy Water Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Well now, that explains why we only caught one fish there.....seems everyone else fishes that spot to....all fished out! 176champion, dtrs5kprs, magicwormman and 3 others 6
m&m Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Nice healthy looking fish. Shakey head, eh? Time to do some searching. Mike
Ketchup Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Sounds like a productive outing to me Quill. Good looking spot. It's only going to get better. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
Hammer time Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Gonna start off my season this coming week and was surprised no one is on a jig bite. With the fish moving up should be a strong jig bite.

Donna G. has been picking some up on a jig, and I believe you are right, it should be going good before long.
Champ188 Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Yes, there's a jig bite. Donna's been catching them on a 3/8 Pig Sticker in green pumpkin. 176champion, Donna G and Muddy Water 3
