Ketchup Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Put in at Long Creek at 9:45. Went to try out a few props and ended up fishing for a little over an hour. Water was between 45.7 and 48.4. I fished a P&J jig, stick bait, and the crank in the pic. Not a bite on anything but the crank. Fished water from 20' to inches. Caught 4 fish with this chunk being the biggest. Every fish came on a point in less than 4' of water near brush. cheesemaster, Donna G, Fish24/7 and 7 others 10 TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.

Quillback Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Nice Kentuck, I bet it is pushing the 3 lb. mark.

Boat is finished for now, so now it's fish time. Headed out shortly. Sorry your stuck in Ks. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
Ketchup Posted February 27, 2016 Author Posted February 27, 2016 Thanks guys, it has been tough for me the past 2 weeks. I've fished the Cape area twice and Aunts once and not a bite. My trips have consisted of less than 2 hour trips, with some of that being battery issues that left me stuck 2 miles from the ramp "trolling motor all the way back", so after watching Preys videos the past 2 weeks, I thought I'd give Long Creek a shot, just for the clearer water if anything. That fat fish came on the first cast almost inches from the shore. Caught all 4 in a 30 minute time, then left there to try another area, and nothing. Seen several fish feeding on that point shallow when I pulled up, so it paid off. Going to give it another go this morning with my better half. Enjoy your day on the water, it's going to be nice out, maybe windy later. Donna G 1 TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
Ketchup Posted February 27, 2016 Author Posted February 27, 2016 Fished the same areas today, with same baits, and nothing. Got out later, at 12:30 and fished til 3. Found a few fish in 25' with a shakey. Man was it beautiful day out, with lots of boats, and a few of the big kind. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.

Ketchup Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 Hey Smalls, Guys, before I comment on his question, I will say that Smalls is a heck of a guy. He is a Bass Pro employee, and when I dropped my boat off to get the new electronics installed, he went above and beyond "just" being an employee. The installation and service was 1st class. On that trip I purchased a new trolling motor, and had them install it last week. Again, he was very helpful. And just an all around good guy. The guys that install do excellent work. The props did what we thought. I will stop by this morning. Smalls21 and Quillback 2 TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
