Ham Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 I heard the wind blew a little bit Saturday. I was unable to go fishing to see it for myself. Can anyone confirm this report? Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
mjk86 Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 It was miserable I didn't even deal with the boat, I walked the bank for 10 min and quit. Couldn't cast the little jig at all, not happy with the 32nd, and 16th just doesn't feel right to me. Threw a big spinnerbait for a minute, had a bass ldr about 10 ft from shore, 12-13 incher. Road signs and tree limbs were all over the road, 50 mph gusts.
dan hufferd Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 The spinner bait bite is great on spring river right now. Haven't tried it in the lake, for said reasons.
Kayser Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Crappie were shallow on sunny pond banks with rip rap. I had a small cork 1' above a jig, and used the wind to move it down the bank, kinda like trolling. Wound up with 14 in an hour, then got sick of the wind. mjk86 1 WARNING!! snagged in outlet 3 Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 I actually went out hoping for a good spinner bait bite. No bites or follows. Dropped cell phone in lake. Baked it in a sunny window all afternoon and this morning it's back. I might give it another go today. SIO3 mjk86, LittleRedFisherman and Ham 3
