mixermarkb Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Ya got no idea what yer missing wrench- but that's ok. Hell, I like LOZ too, it's fun pitching over dock cables for 17"-18" green fish.
fishinwrench Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 If you think pitching over them is fun you should learn to pitch UNDER them.
MOPanfisher Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Behind those cables is also where some dandy crappie live, if you can get them back on light gear. Some dock owners I think get a kick out of strategically placing brush just at the inside of the cable making it dang near impossible to catch a crappie and get it back over the cable, but they are easy to fish from the dock or walkway. but sure is fun trying.
Old plug Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 MIxermcb...... 25 out of 100. That could be close to it. It is highly variable. If I can find where a bunch is holding and figure out their feeding havits It might be closer to 75% keepers in that one instance as a ratio. Fishing for large bass has a element of hunting to it that appeals to me It also fits my profile better in resent years because of health reasons. When I have had a successful hunt I am more satisfied. Then on the other hand I do spend more blank hours on the water this way. It is also a easy way to skunk yourself. I guess after what is getting close to 70 years fishing I feel like I have been there and done that. So I do this.
