Best Place to Launch

Hey guys new to the forums here but some of the guys over at bass boat central sent me here to get a better answer on my question. My cousin and I are making our yearly trip to south Missouri. As of right now the plan is to bunk up at my sisters place in Willard and then drive to TR. Seems to be about an hour or so drive from mapping it out. Now im not asking for any bodys hot spots or things like that im just curious for this time of year and catching the spawn where the best place to launch the boat at. We have been looking at either Kimberling city or TR state park. Im just not familiar with TR as this will be my first time ever on the lake (normally we fish bullshoals in the spring). Any help would be appreciated.

You might look at Cape Fair area - three places to put in there.

Either of the places you mentioned are good choices. The Aunts Creek area ramp is good also. "Read my post I just made".  Good luck on your trip.

I suggest keeping tabs on reports from different areas of the lake and decide where you want to fish.  Then narrow it down from there. For instance, I'd hate for you to decide to put in at state park, towards the lower end, and find that the better bite us up lake, requiring a long haul on the water.  Good luck and let us know how you do.

Thanks guys. I've been watching Pete wenners reports on YouTube for the past couple of months. I try to keep tabs on where he fishes and then look those places up on my map but since I'm not very familiar with the lake I have no idea where he is fishing. Im leaning towards kimberling city area since it would be about a 15 mile haul to the dam if we wanted to go that way or we could run another 15 miles the other way.

Deere, as Ketchup suggested, Aunts Creek is gonna be your best bet coming from Willard.

By the way, given Willard's cozy size, you should ask your sister if she knows/could hook you up with either of the Davis boys, Jackie or Jimmy. Probably the best jig fishermen to ever launch a boat into Table Rock.

Thanks champ188. They just recently moved to williard from the northern springfield area but her husband was raised there so I will have to see if he knows them. I am leaning towards the aunts creek or Kimberling city.
