merc1997 Bo Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 got out to enjoy the gorgeous moon, and got to catch a few in the process. still doing better on bluff, but did catch two in a bigger cove. bites are still 6 to 12 feet, and still caught everything on the same 3/8 brown and blue Elite that i have used for about two months. i think i am on the 5th skirt. ended up with 10 keepers with 5 of them above 3 lbs. i must be fishing the wrong areas. never saw or heard another boat. bo Fishin4Fun, abkeenan, Macsimus and 1 other 4
m&m Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Bo, a 6 lb average!!! Very well done sir. The stars were aligned in your favor and the full moon did not hurt either. Very healthy looking fish. Congratulations. Mike
Members Grumpy53 Posted April 23, 2016 Members Posted April 23, 2016 Bo, if you're fishing the wrong area what did the others catch? Looks to me like you was in the right area. Beautiful fish. Good job.
fozzype Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 I definitely wasn't were you are...good job...I am flat out having the worst spring on this lake I can remember...only had one 4 lb keeper and several shorts last night..I am just stumped and humbled. Made a long run last night from MILL CREEK to long creek to a "milk run" that has always produced for spawn/pre spawn. May just sell bass rig and buy a cane pole... B. Foz
merc1997 Bo Posted April 23, 2016 Author Posted April 23, 2016 got to revise, and i do not know why it ended up posting three times. i kept getting an error message. but, it is supposed to read 5 bass that are three pound plus or over 3 . three of them were 5 lb. plus. so, best 5 would have been in the 23 lb. range. bo
SplitG2 Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Great stuff Bo. Keeping the brown and blue elites to yourself?? I couldn't find them on your website but may have just missed them looking on my phone. Curious about some specifics if you don't mind sharing sometime. Line size?, fluorescent with a black light? Dragging or hopping? Thanks for the report. Keep them coming.
176champion Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Great night bo!! nice fish I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
