Hey guys,

i have seen everyone has been catching bass pretty well. Impressive indeed. Just curious if anyone has seen or heard anything about a walleye bite of any sorts. I haven't heard anything through the forum or otherwise regarding walleye. I was just a bit concerned.

Thanks!

Don't be. People are catching them. I suspect numbers are just fine. For better or worse, no other group of anglers talks about their fishing as much as bass anglers.

i get the feeling that catfish are going good on Bull Shoals right now, but how would you now from trip reports.

Crappie guys tend to be closed mouthed until after it's over. And the crappie bite is largely over. The easy fishing anyway.

Go catch a bunch and then tell us about it. I have a co-worker getting all amped up about the first week of spear fishing season.

No, no I don't need details from anyone, I was just curious. I give details to persons who ask about a bite, just don't volunteer a lot of info. Just is what it is. Just a walleye guy thing I guess.

Leaving for my spring sturgeon bay trip tonight for a week.

After I get back it will be bull shoals for awhile. See ya' guys on the water then.

Soon, if everything works out I will be after them again, throwing crank baits off of windy points, seems to work better if some shallow water adjacent to deeper water.

good luck on the sturgeon trip !

I've heard of some walleye being caught with grubs while bass fishing. Also in the evenings with jerkbaits. The catfish ,crappie, bass, and bluegill have been biting so good I haven't even tried for walleye. All I need is time to go do it.

A lot of walleye are being caught trolling flicker shads and casting jerkbaits.

For anyone interested in walleye fishing in Bull Shoals Lake, I would suggest joining the Twin Lakes Walleye Club. Members send out fishing reports almost on a daily basis.
