vonreed Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 That's a nice looking bunch of fish. Congrats. It sounds like you had them patterned down.

Nice stringer of largemouths. Glad you got into them. Do they eat good? I've never been fond of how they taste so never kept any. I guess I've just been spoiled with crappie and walleye and so everything else just doesn't compare.
Members Kayak_Runner Posted May 19, 2016 Members Posted May 19, 2016 Soak them in milk overnight and it help neutralize the "muddy taste".
Flysmallie Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Or learn to cook and you won't notice a difference. Not that I condone eating bass. That will get you shot around here.

If I have to add milk, italian dressing, lemon, butter, holy water, a drop of virgin's blood, a unicorn's tear, and fairy dust to make bass taste good, then forget it. I'm not talking about fairy dust. I'm just saying that you, scratch that, I can cook a walleye, bass, crappie and catfish the same exact way and you can't tell the difference. I've done it before and I can do it again.
