walleye report

fished from dam to above oakland . fished 8 to 25 feet with bottom bouncers . only had one keeper and a few shorts. fishing was slow and only marked few fish . some banks were inundated with blue gills . had to use pork crawlers to keep them off and prevent rebating. all in all fun on the water but not the catching i was expecting.

Hopefully they will pick up I'm going to be at Bull this week. I'll try to report if internet is good staying at Buck Creek, haven't been in a while maybe it will get good

My plan is the same this weekend, but I'll focus on the 20-30fow range. 
Also look for suspended fish @25 in 50-80 fow.

Fished from 6:00 to 9:30 had 1 keeper walleye 3 keeper bass wasn't that good for me but happy to be here. Grub's 5'' was best bait didn't try worm harness

Still not that great for me at BS .1 keeper eye, 1 keeper bass,1cat fish 1 striper, a lot of none keepers Grubb n spoon. Fished from 6:00 to9:30 come back to camp to eat Breakfast

My walleye mentor, RIP Chuck, always told me that catching bluegill was a good thing. That meant the walleye were near. I know it seems a waste, but use the night crawlers despite the walleye. They are far more likely to attract the species you want.
