eyeman Posted May 22, 2016 Share Posted May 22, 2016 fished from dam to above oakland . fished 8 to 25 feet with bottom bouncers . only had one keeper and a few shorts. fishing was slow and only marked few fish . some banks were inundated with blue gills . had to use pork crawlers to keep them off and prevent rebating. all in all fun on the water but not the catching i was expecting. dtrs5kprs 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My walleye mentor, RIP Chuck, always told me that catching bluegill was a good thing. That meant the walleye were near. I know it seems a waste, but use the night crawlers despite the walleye.
