I was out all weekend, and saw the Water Patrol heading from Pt 7 under the 13 bridge.  Heard there was a collision at Aunt's Creek between a pontoon at and bass boat at night.  4 injured, no fatalities, but haven't seen anything published about it.

Also had a wake boat cut around the inside of a point and about smoke us running 30 or 40 miles an hour.  Had to back completely out of the throttle and they passed way too close across our bow.

Assume everyone is a dumbass...

Nope, but their property values have sky rocketed. If they find their current situation unpleasant, they are perfectly able to change their setting. I know how to fish for days without seeing a soul. Wanna relax on a quiet shore with nobody around? Do it. There are still plenty of places where it is possible. Fewer than 10, 20, 40 yrs ago? You bet! Still doable? Yup! If you find your quiet place on a popular place unpleasantly busy, sell it and find your quiet place. I pray for my pasture to become party cove. That's my ticket to a bigger chunk of a quiter place on God's great earth!

In some cases that is true. But lake front prices have stagnated the past few years. I am looking toward bailing out of the area and moving into a home on  small lake about 30 ac near Herman. I do not know what my place might fetch but I paid 100,000 cash for ot 23 yrs ago. I will double my money but how much more than that I do not know. This place is small,a dandy retirement home and has had tender loving care. Anyone who has seen it wouod tell you that. But I doubt I will make a big killing. The trashy stuff is going on everywhere in the outdoors.
