eyedabassman Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I have a core pass that I bought last year and my pass expires June of 2016. But on the pass it has no date,so does it end June first or June 30???
eyedabassman Posted May 27, 2016 Author Posted May 27, 2016 Thanks, I went out to the truck again ( this time with my eye's on ) to check again, and I found it said through June. I was looking for a date before! I should have put my eye's on and checked before I posted this ! Sorry!
bobby b. Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Suggest you search the forum for the America the Beautiful parks pass - I think it's $10 and it does not expire - you may have to be an old fart for this (like me) - there was a thread on this subject a few months back. Muddy Water 1

Thanks, I will check it out. I will turn 65 in Sept. so I think I am in the old fart class? MAYBE?

vernon Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 I'm 63 and have already purchased annual passes for Kansas and Missouri. Any benefit to adding the America pass at this point or better to wait till next year? Don't really travel anywhere else enough to matter. I've perused the website pretty thoroughly but can't really discern what (if anything) there might be to gain. Thanks "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." MOPanfisher Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Vernon, if you are talking about the COE Annual Pass there is no Missouri or Kansas one, it good at any COE managed area. Some individual lakes, and even some counties or states have separate passes for areas they manage though. If you already have the COE Annual Pass and it's not expired there is no benefit to purchasing an America the Beautiful Passport, unless you are going to camp in Corps campgrounds, then it will pay for itself the first trip by saving you 50% on camping fees. However none of the various COE sold or issued passes will help much at state parks or places like Smithville (Clay County) or other non COE managed areas.

Sorry, you'r right - mine are not the COE passes but rather the Parks and Wildlife pass that allows for access and boat launching. And I only have the Kansas one. Not sure what I was thinking (as is usually the case). Most all of my boat launching in Missouri is done from resort or marina ramps at Stockton, Truman and Table Rock. Sorry again for the (my) confusion! In the profound words of Roberto DeVincenzo, "What a stupid I am." "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups."
