Members HardHead Posted June 6, 2016 Members Posted June 6, 2016 Was watching this weeks episode(week 11) - Brent is fishing with a gentleman named Ken Lindberg. They were stopped in the middle of filming by the sheriff via flashing lights and siren. He told them it was illegal for them to continue filming or release the lakes name/location. They say several times in the episode they are fishing a public lake. They were allowed to air the footage they already shot, but bleep out any mention of the lakes name or location. And they weren't allowed to film any new footage after their interaction with he law. They never do release the name of the lake. I've searched online but found nothing. I believe they are on lake paho. Wondering if anyone can confirm that. If it is lake paho, I really would like to know exactly what law the sheriff was enforcing. Seems to me he may have seen some out of towners in a wrapped fishing rig and chased them off of his honey hole with some bogus info. Ive never actually fished paho, but I've been told by those that do it holds some absolute hogs. Great test case showing 18" and 2 bass per day limit can have a wonderful effect on the population.

I'm not sure that the deputy would have had any say so as to what they were doing. Something smells awful fishy to me. ? TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. A cop pulls up off camera - u can see the lights flash in the background and hear the siren go. They cut production, then Brent is in his truck driving to another lake to finish the day, explaining what happened. Whole thing lasts 20 seconds - far cry from any scene off cops. I could be wrong, but I doubt a low budget fishing show in sportsmans channel would take the time to write, direct, and film such a scene. We arent talking about a zona show. I don't pretend to know Brent personally, but everything I've read about him makes him out to be a true professional and stickler for the rules. biggest answer I'd like to find is what lake it is? Watching them put in and fish the darn area, I really think it's paho in northwest Missouri.

Flysmallie Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Maybe this is where things went wrong. Area General Provisions(more) Commercial use and vending are prohibited on department areas. You could say that filming a television show is commercial use. Was it overzealous if that's what it was? Yes. Does that happen all the time with people of all professions? Yes.

Thanks for the answer. Guess I'll have to make the run up there from St. Louis sometime soon. The law shouldn't find my unwrapped 2004 triton to pose much of a threat jolicious 1
