Seriously though, the right to bitch about how much a Whopper Plopper costs should be reserved for guys in 2k boats or for the fellas walking the bank.

I only paid 1300 for my boat, motor, and trailer and i paid cash....so i guess i get to bitch then...lol

I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything!

It only has one hook.

I hear ya brother, but it's also got "dummy baits" instead of blades...

One could argue, I suppose, that we wouldn't be "changing" to teaser baits, since they are already attached :)

Wait a minute. I might have to go ahead and pull the trigger. Heck, a couple of years from now, I can make a fortune on eBay selling them as "pre-order Plopper double buzzers."

Yeah you pulled the trigger alright, I went over to HLS and they said some guy had just left 10 minutes before I got there and had bought all the pre-orders.  It's bad enough when you clean out the shelves of what is in stock, but when you buy up all the pre-orders, doggone it, that just ain't right.

All I can say is if the cost of lures is an issue, bass fishing probably ain't for you. In fact, some of us would consider it a favor if you found another pastime or at least another place to whiz and moan about how broke you are.

We all work for what we have, or at least most of us do. Some of us spend $50K on a boat and another $25K on tackle (rods, reels, lures, etc.). Others are happy to have a pair of waders, a fly rod or two and some flies stuck in their hat. Regardless, none of us really want to hear about anyone else's financial state.

No one is forcing anyone else to fish. It's optional. If you can't afford it, quit. But to frequently complain about the price of boats, rods, reels, lures, etc., can make it sound as if others are spending their funds unwisely. In fact, certain members here have come right out and said as much. And frankly, no one on this forum has any right to say --- or imply --- a single word about how anyone else spends their money.

Everyone has hardships. I'm smack in the middle of one right now. No one said you should leave the forum. I only said that some of us would rather not hear the constant complaining about price every time someone brings up a new lure. I'm not the only one who finds it tiring.
