I've had three Airstreams and an older aluminum Avion, a 28' Thor gas powered motorhome and a Fleetwood Discovery 31' diesel pusher.  Motorhomes are the ultimate in comfortable traveling but they are a maintenance nightmare and they are all money pits.  Plus you need to tow something to drive once you get where you want to be.  What a pain!  Very happy day when I finally sold that Fleetwood.  I got so burned out on it I went back to using nothing more than a tent or if it was wet, a foam mattress in the bed of the truck under the topper.  That finally got old again too (like me) and I bought another travel trailer. 26' lightweight with one slide.  For me the essentials are A/C, a bed, a toilet and a shower.  Trailer is the way to go if you ask me.  Tow mine with 1/2 ton Ram with the hemi motor.  Strongest motor in a pickup I've ever had.  I did put a hitch on the trailer bumper but have yet to tow boat with it.  That day is coming though.

Boy do I know that feeling. A 5er that I owned had a slide leak that I fought for years. Got so tired of it that we started using cabins when we went camping. They replaced the skin, the seals, the slide itself and still had trouble. They bought it back and after 2 years decided to try it again. Currently have a 25' Four Winds TT that is 1/2 ton towable, tho I pull it with a Super Duty.  Headed out to Cape Fair the 15th for a few days.  Can't handle the holiday weekends anymore.

Just bought our first 5th wheel last month an 08 bighorn. Used it on Father's Day weekend at a place on table rock. Camping was great fishing was impossible with all the boat traffic. Going to beaver next week for the entire week. Can't wait

Yes...and that paddle.  It is a Rob Roy solo.  It is a hoot to paddle.

The only 2 things I've noticed wrong so far is............................The Dodge emblem on the truck and Card. Fan in profile. Besides those small details, everything looks sweet.

We've camped in a Jayco Kiwi 23d hybrid since 2007.  Camped for a season before that in a pop up.  Camper is starting to show it's age but still takes care of the 4-6 trips we take in it each year.  Pulled it to West Yellowstone and back in 2010 and would like to take a trip to the Buffalo River country.  Aside from that, all of our camping is done within two hours of the house. Attached is a pic of our "convoy" from 2010.  The only thing left from this pic is the camper.  Boat and truck have since been replaced.
