It was a public camping spot so I knew it had to be someone camping in the area. I happened to have one of my trail cams in my truck and set it up with a brand new trap in the exact same spot. The next day it was gone. And we caught the guys on camera. It was 3 guys, and we found out they were camped further down the river. When we drove by they were having a crawfish boil with my crawfish caught with MY traps. I absolutely HATE thieves. So instead of doing the right thing and turn them in to the authorities, me and my buddies waited until they left on their boat to go fishing for the day and nobody else was around then we trashed their entire campsite, poured out all their beer from 3 coolers and 2 kegs onto the ground, got our traps back, then we left! YOU POURED BEER ON...THE...GROUND?! abkeenan, vernon, Ham and 3 others 6

Cry about it on a public forum? That probably would have been the smartest idea. Let the police or game warden sort it out. Probably would have given them a fine that is the equivalent to the "trashing" you gave to their site and you get your traps back. Also would not have run the risk of them coming back and catching you destroying their stuff. This day in age you don't know what nutballs are gonna do and maybe you get yourself shot over a silly crawdad trap. Ham 1

Weren't you the one busting my chops about being devoted to "family" on a previous post I made? SMH.... My family supports everything I do. They wondered why we didn't call them to join in on the fun.

But with enough guys in our group and a pretty solid plan in place, it actually happened very quickly and we got out of there in record time.

chi0082 Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 I guess nobody ever got anything stolen. Everyone seems to be upset that I did such a horrible thing to the thieves that stole my traps. Funny thing is....I really don't regret it. We were well prepared to confront them if they had returned and saw us trashing the place. We were prepared for an all out backyard redneck fight to be completely honest. Sorry if my lifestyle offends some of you. I was raised differently I guess.
