Ben Gillispie Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Hi LOZ people, My name is Ben and I am starting up a service called Angler Spy that is currently only on Table Rock Lake. I place units in the water at various marinas that record and report water temperatures and images for water clarity/visibility. I have these units on Table Rock Lake currently, as this is where I live and fish. However, I am preparing for a push to place units on Lake of the Ozarks. What are popular locations where you'd like to see water conditions for? For example, on Table Rock, I have units that establish a perimeter of sorts, starting down at Cricket Creek, coming up to main lake by the dam, on up to Cape Fair, down to Kings River and finally over to Holiday Island. I'd like similar coverage for LOZ. These lakes definitely have different environments due to dam release, rainfall, etc. and I'd like to cover it accordingly. Let me know of any thoughts or suggestions, or if you know a marina that would like to host a unit in order to gain exposure and contribute to the network. Thanks, Ben Jbrant 1
fishinwrench Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 That would be great ! The Osage arm at about the 38-45mm. The Niangua arm between MM 32-36. The Glaize at the 22-25MM. The Gravois at MM 8-10. And one within 5 miles of the dam. MOsmallies, Jbrant and Ben Gillispie 3
Ben Gillispie Posted July 22, 2016 Author Posted July 22, 2016 fishinwrench, I couldn't have asked for a better answer. Appreciate it. I'll look into these areas. Thanks!

DADAKOTA Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 I'd think you would possibly want something in the Proctor Creek 55mm or Rainey Creek 60mm areas For the mid lake area some locations are Johnson Brothers Marina 47mm Runaway II marina, bar, and grill 45 1/2 mm Red Fox Bar/Grill 49 1/2 mm Mimosa Beach in Bollinger Creek 44 mm Jbrant and Ben Gillispie 2
fishinwrench Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 A guage at the 38-45 would IMO be the best. You'll know that anything further up than that will be dirtier and generally warmer. Ben Gillispie 1
m&m Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Let me add that when Ben started this at Table Rock, I found it to be very useful information. He has since enhanced it to the point that I check it when I am planning my next fishing trip. It helps me decide which area of the lake I want to fish. Now that it is up and running at Table Rock, I can see the water clarity, water temps and other data just by checking the Angler Spy site. I only fish LOZ once a year but I am excited to see that Ben is expanding. For all of you who fish it on a regular basis, you will be amazed at the data and pictures you will see. And do not be afraid to provide him suggestions for improvement. He really listens to other fisherman. Mike MOsmallies and Ben Gillispie 2

In case anyone was wondering, Mike is Angler Spy User numero uno, the first. He's provided excellent feedback. I am glad you are still using it. We're getting more creative at making sure things stay clean. To everyone else who suggested placement marinas, thanks a bunch. Looking forward to the next steps. WeekendWarrior 1
Old plug Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 There is one little thing different about LOZ the temperature under docks I'd several degrees cooler on LOZ and even that varies in any given place and time. That is one reason the flippers a d pitchers will beat the casters most days. Thay work the cooler water. Not to sure how this will play on your reports Ben Gillispie 1
Ben Gillispie Posted July 28, 2016 Author Posted July 28, 2016 Will definitely take this into consideration. Good info.
