Hard to explain the Hawg meltdown yesterday.  I am hoping they will play LSU tough and I think they will.

SEC Is dominated this year by Bama.  It's always possible Bama will have a bad day and lose to someone, but in my opinion they are in a class by themselves.  The rest of the league is just fighting over the table scraps.

I don't doubt you are right that Arky will get up for the game against LSU. I might be way off base, but it seems like at times Arky decides they can't win and they fold up their tents and go home mentally. The loss to the Aggies was that way and this Auburn game was too.

I hate bama.

I tell ya, yesterday the Hawgs didn't even bother to unfold the tents, looks like they left them on the bus.

Wow!!!!.....Olde Mizzou is pretty  much what I thought. ....weak as hell.

SEC team's just don't  loose to Middle Tennessee State at home.

Missouri  does not belong in this conference as we are just not a top flight D1 school anymore.

We are officially  the worst in Football  and Basketball  in this conference. ..what could the alumni and boosters be thinking??? Especially whoever donated 15 million earlier this week.

It's  cool to be a backer and support  your team but you have to call a spade a spade.....Mizzou is in shambles on many levels and it is embarrassing!

I was watching the Bama game before the Mizzou game started, and at halftime.  It's pretty depressing to watch Bama and even aTm and then have to watch Mizzou.  The difference in talent level is incredible.  And you never know which side of the ball is going to lay a rotten egg.  Last two games it was the offense, this one it was the defense.  That was about the worst defensive performance I've seen from a Mizzou team, ever.  I thought the SEC championship game performance against Auburn in 2013 was bad, but at least Auburn was an elite team.  I'm sure the injuries were a part of it--losing Scherer early hurt badly, but good teams usually have somebody that can step in and do at least a credible job when a key starter goes down.  There is zero depth at the linebacker positions.

Maybe Odom and company can start to turn things around next year, but they seem completely outmatched this year.  Cross's read and react system seems to have totally wrecked what was a darned good defense last year.

Al your last sentence says it all.....I'm not sure why they are going with that sort of scheme???

Well, when you think about it, IF you are going to implement a new system (hopefully because you think it will eventually be a better one, and not just because you want to put your own stamp on the program), you are going to be recruiting new kids that are suited to that system, but you can't change the team you've inherited, whose players may not be as well-suited to your new system.  So I guess you have to bite the bullet and suffer through the first year, and by the next year you should be seeing some results.  But you gotta think that Harris and a few others are bummed out about having to play a system that isn't showing what they can do.
