176champion Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 I put in at Big M today around 2:30 and figured i would stay till almost dark but i left around 5:30 and headed back to dock..i did manage 2 13 inchers on a wiggle wart and almost got me a bow ornament for my boat being a pontoon boat that cut me off for no reason that i could see....then about 4:30 or so i guess school got out and here comes the skidoos and wake boats with the music blaring as usual and attempted to fish a little more but gave up and went home... I threw ..dixie spoons...some 1/.2 ounce jigs with trailers spinner baits and even an underspin...from what i could see on my cheap sonar fish where holding in 35 to 50 foot of water and water temp was around 85 to 86 degrees......I guess Quill has all the fish scared off over there...lol...on the positive i got out on the water after being couped up for awhile as it will be probably another 2 weeks of being couped up after Thursday... cheesemaster, marcus, merc1997 Bo and 1 other 4 I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! m&m Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 176, welcome back to the world of fishing. I know you have been missing it so congratulations you were able to get out. That first hit must have felt pretty good after all the time off. Mike 176champion 1

SplitG2 Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Good job 176. Thanks for the update. Glad you got out. You'll be out again in no time. You caught two more than I did at the office the other day...
Quillback Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Well 176, I ain't scaring them, I was out there yesterday, fished hard for 8 bass. 4 of them came early, it sure helps if you can get out at first light, or go in the evening.
176champion Posted August 18, 2016 Author Posted August 18, 2016 Well 2 o'clock in the afternoon is not a prime time to go fishing this i know...lol. I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
Quillback Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 I came into the ramp about 1230 yesterday, stepped off onto the dock, looked into the water on the ramp, and saw 4 bass sitting there. One of them might have been 2 lbs., the others looked to be 12 inches or so. They had a bunch of little bluegill corralled in the shallow water. I just looked at them and thought "whatever, dudes" and loaded up my boat and left. Fish24/7 1
176champion Posted August 18, 2016 Author Posted August 18, 2016 I noticed a bunch of brim hanging around boat ramp when I put in and took out... they seemed to be attracted to my chrome wheels on trailer...lol I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
