because of the rain that is coming, we decided to have another go at the lower end.  ended up with some similar results.  we did that many shad had come up shallower last night, but all the quality bites were mostly 25 to 30 feet deep.  the best lure last night, by far, was the 1 oz. SpinJig.  we did catch four lmg's in the mix of a dozen keepers.

Great stuff Bo. Thanks for sharing.  That's some heavy hardware but the success is well documented. Proves that if you change your mindset there are quality fish to be caught outside of the normal TR way of thinking.  Would love to see some instructional videos from you someday.

if i can ever figure out making the time to do some, we do have plans to do exactly that.  but, right now with two elderly parents (93 and 87), keeping 7 acres of grass cut, keeping up with NuTech Lures, there are not enough hours in the day.  have you ever noticed that my fishing time is at night when everyone else is sleeping:lol:?

deep water fishing is basically the same as fishing in 6" of water.  just takes longer to get down to depth, and boat control with the trolling motor is very critical.  and of course when deep water fishing, heavier weights are usually a necessity.
