He has finally made it to Barnes now.  I had some good news from him tonight.  First run of testing there has it at the base of his tongue, a different form than what we originally was told..  Its not in his Larynx or salivary gland.  The doctors at Barnes told him it is curable.  Good news.  He has a long road of treatment that still has to be determined, but he will survive it.

He has been thru two rounds of chemo now and tumor has started shrinking. 7 more then radiation.

Rusty you hang in there and have faith. I have walked in your shoes my friend as cancer runs in my family. Their are people praying and where two or three gather in faith in prayer there is God. God send your Holy Spirit to render miracles in this life in accordance with Your Word for You are Life and You Love us more than we can ever understand.

4 months of Chemo and Radiation has brought him to the completion of his treatments.  PET and CT scans around Christmas showed the tumor had shrunk to almost nothing.  He will undergo some more tests in the following weeks to find out the final verdict.

He is in good spirits and has survived the ordeal.  His care at Siteman and Barnes went well.  I think we have another cancer survivor.  Thanks for all of your prayers.

Same here, my parents both eventually died of cancer, although they were 88 and 90. There is definitely something wrong with our generation. If you look at the old pics of men in the 1930's thru 50's, they all wore suits in pics and seemed to be around 140-160 pounds. Today the average man is probably 175-180? Anyway, technology, automobiles, and the like have combined to make our lives easier and we are getting stagnant I guess.

I met up with Rusty at Siteman when he got the good news.  His first PET test since treatment shows his body is cancer free. Another win for the great team there.
