First time on Truman

My wife and I made the 2 hour drive to have a "New Lake" adventure, here are some pictures of our day and dinner. Crappie tacos are good !  I did not find any walleye but I have some ideas for the next trip. At least we didn't get skunked.

Looks like a great trip. Glad that you were able to get out with your wife and score.on some nice crappie. Especially on a new lake. Also the taco spread looks great.

They were running maneuvers over the water, they got very close to us.

Casting and jigging a flat, in 20 feet of water. 1/4 oz glow with red head.

Thanks John, it would have been good to get a walleye, or a wiper but we still had fun, and ate good too !

Weird question, but what sauce do you use on your fish tacos? I've been looking for a good recipe or store bought but I can't seem to find one that I really enjoy.

bs1827, I know you were asking Dan, but I make fish tacos out of white bass and hybrids, my favorite sauce is Tzatziki sauce, its a cucumber/greek yogurt, dill and some other stuff that I think really adds a nice "gyro" flavor to the tacos, toss on some fresh spinach and pico and its ON.
